Falling asleep, staying asleep, and feeling rested can all be a struggle for hardworking and involved people. Getting a better night’s sleep can massively impact your productivity throughout the day. Fortunately, here are a few tips to get you on the right track.

Sleep patterns and reoccurring habits

To get on a schedule, finding a time you are comfortable throughout the week being able to commit to is a great start. Once you have a goal, then try to get consistent with that goal. As you slowly progress and improve, you’ll begin to see a higher quality sense of rest.

This is impacted heavily by your screen time, eating habits, and stress from the day previous.

Screen time – It’s recommended you shut off all devices an hour prior of going to sleep. Again, if this becomes a part of your sleep pattern, you’re going to see a massive shift in the ability you’ll have to shut down for sleep.

Eating habits – Eating is crucial to better sleep. If you are eating just before bed, it’ll take a great deal longer for you to be able to relax. Similar to screen time, avoid this at least an hour before bed.

As well as your habits, your mattress will impact your sleep as well. If you feel your mattress has been uncomfortable recently or impacting the sleep patterns you have, we’d love to be able to help. Give us a call today for any questions, we’re looking forward to it!
